Your guide to road tripping on the NSW South Coast

If you’ve been thinking about heading down South with your girlfriends for a getaway, look no further, we have the perfect road-trip guide that will ensure you don’t miss a thing! With white-sand beaches, crystal clear water, relaxed coastal towns and stunning boutique wineries, it’s easy to fall in love with the South Coast of NSW. As this beautiful coastline becomes increasingly popular, we’ve focused on growing our incredible range of getaway packages, to make sure we have something to suit every girl group.

We know it can be difficult planning a road trip, so to make it easy for you, we’ve summarised our favourite places to stay, eat and explore on the South Coast!

KIAMA

For the best coffee and breakfast food in Kiama, you can’t go past Penny Whilster’s orWild Patch Cafe. For dinner, overlook the sea at Silica Restaurant, Kiama's freshest local seafood and finest dining experience.

Renowned as the town “where the sea makes a noise”, the Kiama blowhole is a must-visit. Being the largest blowhole in the world, when there is swell expect to see water reaching over 30 meters in height! If you’re looking to get in some exercise, take on the Kiama Coast Walk stretching from the mouth of the Minnamurra River through to Werri Beach in Gerringong. On your journey, you’ll be amazed by the rolling green hills, rugged cliffs and breathtaking views along the coastline.

GERRINGONG / GERROA

  • STAY

Gerringong & Gerroa are the perfect coastal holiday destinations with a range of beautiful homes waiting for you to visit. BERRY

With a charming main street, award-winning restaurants and cafes, and lush landscape, it’s easy to fall in love with Berry. CULBURRA / CURRARONG

Situated in the beautiful Shoalhaven region, Culburra Beach is surrounded by a river, lake, ocean and national park, making it the ultimate destination to unwind by the water. There are plenty of nearby beaches to explore, as well as places to picnic, snorkel and paddleboard. We also recommend travelling to picturesque Honeymoon Bay for a perfect day by the sea.

CALLALA BEACH

  • STAY

If you’re looking for five-star waterfront accommodation, we have the perfect places for you! Stay at the breathtaking beach houses Atra (featured in our Jewel in Jervis Bay package) and Shearwater (featured in our Waterfront Wow Factor package), both in prime position on Callala Beach with incredible ocean views, open-plan living and sleeping areas, and an unmatched tranquil ambience. This region is an ocean-lovers paradise, so in your downtime take up the opportunity to enjoy swimming, snorkelling, beach and bush walks, kayaking, paddle boarding and wildlife spotting (look out for dolphins commonly seen surfing the waves). Don’t forget to also make the most of the soft white sands with morning beach walks.

VINCENTIA / HUSKISSON

In the heart of Jervis Bay, both Huskisson and Vincentia are vibrant coastal towns famous for their natural beauty - your girls weekend here will be filled with white sand beaches and crystal clear waters! Stay at Beachstone or Bethany Beach House for relaxed luxury vibes and open plan living, dining and kitchen spaces.

For delicious eats, we recommend visiting the Pavilion Bar & Kitchen at Huskisson Hotel for the best local produce and seafood from the South Coast, dining amongst the treetops at The Gunyah Restaurant at Paperbark Camp, or enjoying delicious food and drinks at Wildginger Huskisson, a South-East Asian restaurant & wine bar.

With white-sand beaches, crystal clear water, laid-back coastal towns and an abundance of wildlife, you won’t be disappointed here in Vincentia & Huskisson. We recommend stopping by Blenheim, Chinamans & Hyams beaches - perfect for swimming, snorkelling and stand-up paddle boarding. If you have spare time, explore Jervis Bay National Park and nearby towns such as Berry & Callala Beach/Bay!

MOLLYMOOK / MILTON
